My Top 10 San Diego Padres Announcing Moments of 2019

On September 26th, 2019 I wrapped up my sixth season in Major League Baseball.

471 consecutive San Diego Padres games to be exact.

And while some days (wins) are better than others (losses), I truly enjoy that no two days are the same.

Here are my Top 10 TV and social media moments behind the mic in 2019:

10. Opening Day First Pitch (Live on FOX/Bally Sports San Diego)

It's not everyday you have a Cy Young winner (Randy Jones) and Hall of Famer (Trevor Hoffman) on the hill at the same time. That's how we started our Padres 50th Anniversary season.

9. Ted Leitner's 40th Season Recognition

A compadre in the press box, this man's been broadcasting San Diego Padres baseball almost as long as I've been alive!

8. 9/11 Remembrance (Live on FOX/Bally Sports San Diego)

It's an honor to recognize local, state, and federal law enforcement and first responders on September 11th.

7. Bruce Bochy Retirement Ceremony

6. Padres 50th Anniversary Team (Live on FOX/Bally Sports San Diego)

Garry Templeton, Steve Garvey, Trevor Hoffman, Steve Finley, Greg Vaughn, Heath Bell... A lot of fun introducing these guys to celebrate fifty years of San Diego Padres baseball!

5. Welcoming Manny Machado (Live on FOX/Bally Sports San Diego)

I got a lot of questions on how I'd announce Manny Machado's arrival leading up to Opening Day. My answer was... "you'll see."

4. "The Bet": John Cena and Logan Allen

It's not every day you have a WWE Superstar bet Padres prospect Logan Allen a dollar he wouldn’t make it to the Majors. He not only did, but he was also stellar in his pitching debut. Time to pay up!

3. The Anchorman Race (Via ESPN's SportsCenter)

Two words: Stay classy.

2. Junior's Major League Debut (Live on FOX/Bally Sports San Diego)

Another one of my favorite moments from Opening Day was announcing the MLB debut of shortstop phenom Fernando Tatis... JUNIOR!

1. The Rickroll

And finally, the icing on the cake.

I was delighted to be an integral part of trolling Red Sox Nation.
